Festival launched for the first time in 1964 and abandoned for many years, the festivities have resumed since 2014 and this 7th edition reserves us beautiful moments!
These Ladies with Green Hats, published for the first time in 1922, is a satire of provincial life: the unexpected sentimental adventures of a young Parisian sent to live with her four cousins, old girls who live " the oldest district of one of the oldest cities of the Pas-de-Calais ", in fact the district of the cathedral of Saint-Omer, Author's hometown.
Repeatedly republished (more than 1.5 million copies, translated into 25 languages, brought to the cinema by the director Maurice Cloche in 1937), Ces dames au chapeaux verts made GermaineAcremant an emblematic character of the Audomarois.
From 12 to 19 November 2022, the city of Saint-Omer invites you to dive into the world of the novel "Ces dames aux chapeaux verts" by Germaine Acremant!
Highlights will mark this festive week:
hat competitions, workshops, vintage car exhibitions, plays... And of course the unmissable exhibition on the life and work of Germaine Acremant which will be held at the Moulin à Café!
